DRB-HICOM Berhad is an investment holding company.
Its segments include:
Automotive, which is engaged in manufacturing, assembly, vehicles importation, motorcycles and special purpose vehicles;
Services, which is engaged in concession, banking, insurance, postal and other services, and
Property, Asset and Construction, which is engaged in property holding, development and construction works and assets management services.
In January 2012, it acquired 42.74% and 7.27% interest in Proton Holdings Berhad.
On March 28, 2012, its subsidiary, Glenmarie Properties Sdn. Bhd., acquired HICOM Megah Sdn. Bhd.
On March 20, 2012, its subsidiary, Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad, acquired DRB-HICOM Leasing Sdn. Bhd.
On August 1, 2012, its subsidiary, HICOM Polymers Industry Sdn Bhd, acquired Stagwell Sdn Bhd.
On October 8, 2012, it announced that PROTON Marketing Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PROTON Holdings Berhad acquired HICOM Holdings Berhad's entire 90% interest in HICOM-Potenza Sports Cars Sdn Bhd.
