Overview:
JAKS Resources Berhad (JAKS) is principally engaged in investment holding and is a general contractor. The Company operates in five segments: Manufacturing, Trading, Construction, Investment and Property Development.
Its Manufacturing segment consists of manufacturing of pipes, ductile steel pipes and steel hollow section.
Its Trading segment consists of trading in sheet piles, steel bars, mild steel and special pipes, other steel related products and supply of products for water supply industry.
Its Construction segment consists mainly of provision of sub-contracting activities, general contractor and supplier of building materials. Its Investment segment includes investment holding.
Its Property Development segment is engaged in the development of residential and commercial properties.
On July 12, 2011, JAKS acquired 51% interest in JAKS Offshore Sdn Bhd. On October 19, 2011, its wholly owned subsidiary, JAKS Sdn. Bhd. acquired the remaining 49% interest in JAKS Power Sdn. Bhd.
